Airtec Changes Maintenance Requirement

Safety & Training
Thursday, April 28, 2016

Airtec, GmbH, maker of the CYPRES 2 automatic activation device, has announced a change in the maintenance requirements for all civilian CYPRES 2 AADs manufactured after January 1, 2016. The 4-year and 8-year maintenance service will be considered as highly recommended, but not mandatory for all civilian CYPRES 2 units manufactured after January 1, 2016. The company has made adjustments to the software to accommodate the changes. CYPRES 2 AADs manufactured prior to January 1, 2016 must still comply with mandatory 4-year and 8-year maintenance services.
