Firebird Releases Service Bulletin

Mandatory Before Next Jump

Industry News
Saturday, March 30, 2019

Firebird, maker of the EVO harness-and-container system, has issued a Product Service Bulletin after a pillow reserve ripcord cable got separated from the reserve pin at assembly on a newly delivered EVO. Although Firebird says it is confident that this is an isolated incident, the company has taken additional steps to ensure the safety of its users. The PSB requires mandatory inspection by an FAA-certified senior or master rigger (or national equivalent) before the next jump. The rigger can perform this inspection without opening or repacking the reserve, and it should only take a few minutes to complete. For full details, refer to the service bulletin on the Firebird website at flyfirebird.com.
