Former BOD Member David Waight Passes Away

David Waight, D-3070, died at his home in Boyertown, Pennsylvania, on August 1. He was 77. Waight was USPA Eastern Conference Director (now known as Eastern Regional Director) and chair of the Nominations & Elections Committee in 1979 and 1980. He began skydiving in 1966 and accumulated more than 7,000 jumps in his more than 50-year-long skydiving career. He was heavily involved in both competition and student training and held a USPA Static-Line Instructor rating for more than 30 years. 

Waight is survived by his wife, Audrey, as well as three daughters and 13 grandchildren. His family hosted a celebration of life on August 13. Those who wish to send condolences may do so on Waight’s obituary page at catagnusfuneralhomes.com.
