Project 19 Launches App

Thursday, October 1, 2020

On August 14, the Women’s Skydiving Network launched the Project 19 skydiving app to provide educational tools and resources to those training for large head-down formations, particularly the Project 19 women’s head-down record. The jump, which WSN originally scheduled for July, was moved to the fall of 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

WSN was inspired to create this app after hosting a webinar with world champion skydiver Dan Brodsky-Chenfeld on visualization. The network realized that lots of people did not have access to videos that would help them visualize how to fly in large vertical formations. The WSN developed this app to provide this educational tool. The videos included on the app contain descriptions for every exit slot, as well as approaches, flying the formation, breakoff, canopy flight and landing.

Additionally, the app includes record news; introductions to the Project 19 team; links to seminars by Brodsky-Chenfeld, Domi Kiger, Jason Russell, Stephanie Strange and many others; and an application to join the attempts.

Jumpers can download the app at no charge at the relevant app store for their operating system.
