Sequential Games Completes Two-Point 202-Way!

An international group of formation skydivers has set a new Fédération Aéronautique Internationale sequential formation skydiving world record (pending ratification) with a two-point 202-way. The group completed the jump Tuesday, September 29, at Skydive Perris in California. Dieter Kirsch, Milko Hodgkinson and Patrick Passe organized the event, which they called the Sequential Games. For the past five years, a number of attempts at this record have come close, but none has succeeded—until now.

The S-202 event began September 26 with several groups of 40- to 60-ways. After two days of progressively bigger groups, the team went for the first 202-way attempts on Monday. The first day’s official attempts came close, with the best jump coming up just one grip shy. On Tuesday, the group completed the two-point jump on the third attempt.

The jump also set a national sequential record, a California sequential record and the California record for largest formation skydive. The event runs through October 2, and team plans to attempt a third point on the remaining days.
