USPA Board Elections Conclude
Revised 11/20/2018
Results are in for the 2019-2021 USPA Board of Directors election, which concluded October 31. Below is the list of candidates for national and regional directors, along with the vote totals. Winners are indicated in bold type. Prior to the end of the election, Pacific Regional Director Ron Bell accepted a position at USPA and was required to resign his board seat; he is also ineligible to serve on the board. So the current board must still decide on a process to determine how the next Pacific Regional Director is selected, in keeping with New York nonprofit law. The new board will take its seat at the 2019 winter meeting, February 1-3 in Dallas, Texas. A total of 5,899 members voted.
Update 11/20/2018:
In late October, just before the end of the board election, then-Pacific Regional Director Ron Bell accepted a position at USPA, which made him ineligible to serve on the board. In a special meeting in November, USPA’s board of directors convened to decide how to treat the Pacific Regional Director election since Bell, who received the most votes, was ineligible to be elected. Because Brett Martin was on the ballot and received the second most votes, the board declared him to be the Pacific Regional Director when the new board begins its term.
